Product Details

Retro is back in (again) and with this blackout Roller blind in Essie Taupe the 70s have never looked so good! The throwback look is more down to the pattern than the colour, a cross between a diamond and a hexagon, a slightly softer version of either shape, in a repeat pattern across the whole blind. Gone are the browns and yellow golds of the time, and instead replaced with a much more muted taupe, a blend of brown and grey that gives a contemporary feel. That’s not to say it won’t work in less modern spaces, but it’s a large-scale pattern so it carries an impact, and works better on smaller windows such as bathrooms, halls or utility rooms in traditional décor.

Cleaning Tips

Remove dust and debris using the upholstery attachment on your vacuum.
You can then use a clean, damp cloth to gently wipe the blind, starting at the top using a downward motion. Always let your blind dry fully before rolling it up again.
Tougher stains can be removed with a specialist fabric stain remover, but please follow the manufacturer’s instructions closely, and test a small, inconspicuous area first if in doubt. For more details see our Roller blind cleaning guide

Child Safety

At Hillarys we do everything we can to make sure our products are safe for children. As a minimum, all of our blinds meet the European Standard BS EN 13120 for both performance and safety.

Beyond this, safety is at the forefront of our minds right through the design process as we strive to make products that are not only stylish and high-quality, but also safe. Our standard sidewinder Roller blinds come with safety hooks that are fitted to an adjacent wall. These keep the chain taut and out of reach of children.

In addition, our sidewinder controls include chain break connectors which cause the chain to automatically break apart when reasonable weight is placed upon them. Luxury Spring, Super Lux and Motorised Roller options These Roller blind types have no control chains or cords. They are inherently child safe and do not require any additional child safety devices.
