Since having @hillarysblinds blackout blinds fitted Larry seems to be sleeping more during the day. He can’t tell if I haven’t opened the curtains bless him. 🤣 I’m so glad I opted for the blackout lining which provides energy efficiency benefits by reducing heat loss but also helps with noise control. The layering of the Venetian blinds with the heavy curtains has created such a cosy feel, yet still allows for complete light control during the day. Did you know tilting your Venetian blinds upwards is the most effective way to keep heat in too!

Jackson’s showing his appreciation for the new voiles ❤️ We spent a long time hunting for curtains in the living room. They had to be bespoke made to get them wall-to-wall. I loved the wave header and also wanted voiles over the bifold doors to help filter out some of the light. We tried a couple of independents before going to @hillarysblinds and I must admit, I was surprised how competitively priced they were. We’ve chosen fairly plain and neutral fabrics so we can add depth and texture with accessories in the room. 🌟🌿 Summer Sundays are made for long lazy lie-ins. And particularly for everyone in this household who came back very late from @latitudefest last night and are still snoozing away here. I’ve really no excuse - as I didn’t go back after Friday’s venture - except that I’ll do anything to sneak back to bed with a cuppa & a stack of Sunday newspapers. Old school! Coffee with friends this morning and then I’m taking Edie shopping. Then we are off to see Asti in her theatre club production later on. She’s got two performances today and will be at the theatre until after 9 tonight, which is pretty full on for a nine year old but she seems happy about it, so good on her. What are your plans? 🤍 Happy hump day 🐫 we’re nearly there! . We waited months for these sofas even though we could have had the fabric version much sooner.
