Hello design devotees! Jonathan Adler here - potter and designer - delighted to welcome you into my world as I unveil my new collection of Roman blinds and curtains with Hillarys. If you want to dress your windows to impress, you’re in exactly the right place.

Dream homes, beautifully dressed

Bringing my aesthetic to Irish interiors is a true thrill. This collaboration was my opportunity to design the window dressings I would want in every one of my (imaginary) dream residences - from my chic (pretend) townhouse to my grand (fantasy) country pile. I poured my favourite colours and patterns into this collection, reimagined through a new lens. It’s classic, but with a wink - and just a touch of irreverence.

Patterns that make a statement

The collection features eight signature designs from my portfolio, and four fabulous colour palettes. My design philosophy is simple: if I fall in love with a pattern, I want to see it everywhere - on sofas, on rugs, on vases, and if my fabulous husband Simon Doonan stands still long enough, on him too. Now, your windows can join the party.

Windows: the ultimate canvas

Eyes are the windows to the soul, and windows are the eyes of your home. Window treatments communicate who you are - or who you want to be. They’re the perfect finishing touch for any space; so many people create a glamorous room and then skimp on the windows, and I urge you to break the cycle. Windows are large and in charge and offer a huge canvas for expression: use it! The right blinds and curtains announce to the world that you’re glamorous, fearless, and have impeccable taste.

Dare to be bold

Let’s talk about pattern. Life’s too short to look back and see an endless haze of beige. My three favourite words? More, more, more. Your home should reflect you at your most glamorous. If you’re nervous about bold patterns, don’t be! Pattern is the quickest way to refresh a room - add a new rug, a punchy pillow, and, you guessed it, a great window treatment. Instantly, you’ve injected personality and pizzazz.

A twist on tradition

One of my favourite motifs in this collection is the snake. Snakes are an “always animal” - never just a fleeting trend. The slithering snake is a reminder that design should feel powerful, playful, and a bit provocative - plus, it’s wildly chic. I love adding an element of the unexpected; it keeps interiors fresh and full of personality.

Tailored to perfection

Adapting my designs for windows is a creative adventure. What works on a vase needs to be bolder for a window. The Hillarys team started by enlarging my motifs. Then came the tactile magic - we obsessed over fabric feel and drape, ensuring every style looks divine both open and closed. Every detail, from texture to hue, was meticulously considered so your windows can be dressed to impress.

Windows with personality

Design, for me, is about storytelling - through colour, form, and motif. Every piece in this collection is a chapter in my ongoing love affair with modern American luxury, European charm, and a healthy dose of humour. I want your windows to do more than just control the light; I want them to spark joy, conversation, and maybe even a little envy from your neighbours.

Made-to-measure, made to impress

If you want your windows to truly impress, don’t leave things to chance. Go for a made-to-measure service and have a professional handle the fitting. Not only does it take the stress out of the process, but it also means your blinds and curtains will look perfectly tailored and hang just right. It allows you to focus on the fun part - choosing the patterns and colours that make your home uniquely you.

Decorate your way

My rule when it comes to window dressing is there are no rules. If you love it, it will work. We live in an anything-goes world, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Whether you’re outfitting a grand manor, a city flat, or simply want to bring a splash of glamour to your everyday, I hope these designs help you create a home that’s as unique as you are.
