- Cleaning Tips
-
Close your Faux Wood blinds and tilt the slats downwards until flat. Wipe over with a dry, clean cloth to remove dust and debris, before tilting the slats upwards and repeating. For more stubborn marks, use a very diluted mix of detergent and water and gently rub with a cloth, wiping the area dry afterwards.
- Child Safety
-
All Hillarys products conform to European safety legislation. When you buy a Wooden blind, your Hillarys fitter will also install a discreet little cleat or hook for the cord to wrap around, so there are no loose cords. These are fitted at a minimum height of 1.5m above the floor. Having a safety device is a legal requirement even in homes without children.

Which windows suit Faux Wood blinds?
Faux Wood blinds are a practical and stylish solution for any space. They can be made to fit narrow and wider windows, with a choice of slat widths designed to match the scale of your window. As the slats are horizontal and straight, they can’t be made to fit around sloping or shaped windows – Vertical blinds would be better here.
Can I have them in my bathroom or kitchen?
Unlike real wood, our Faux Wood blinds are specially designed to withstand the humidity and moisture levels in bathrooms and kitchens with no warping or fading.
What colour options are available?
Our Faux Wood blinds are available in a range of painted pastel shades and natural wood stains. You can also choose a matching valance in the same shade to conceal the headrail, plus add coloured tapes and other accessories to complete your look.
Are Faux Wood blinds blackout?
Faux Wood blinds will dramatically reduce the amount of light coming into your room. However even when the slats are tilted until flat, there may still be small gaps between them or around the edges where light may leak in.
