‘Jewel: The Edit’ has landed. With four colour palettes to choose from, here, we take a closer look at the cheerful shade of Amber.
Take a look at our Natur collection of curtains and Roman blinds, inspired by the clean lines and understated style of Scandinavian design. Choose from stripes, geometric prints and folksy patterns, in soft shades of dove grey, mineral blue and coral, with complementary bold accents for a lively addition to the colour palette.
And join us as we go behind the scenes of our launch photoshoot to find out more about the Scandi trend that is dominating home interiors and is the inspiration for this contemporary range.
Scandinavian design embraces nature and is strongly influenced by the changing hues of the surrounding landscape. Our photoshoot is set in the heart of a spruce forest where subtle neutrals, fresh pastels and sharp, bold accents not only provide a stunning backdrop, but also reflect the colour palette of the Natur range.
Set for Scandi
The fabrics in the Natur range showcase the traditional printing techniques much-loved by Scandinavians for their simplicity and clean lines. For the photoshoot, our stylists combined Freya mustard curtains with a Lotta Citron Roman blind. Freya is a folksy floral print with a pop of bold colour over a neutral base, while Lotta features a delicate wood block fern motif.
In our living room set we’ve included some of the key elements of Scandinavian design. Exposed floorboards in a light wood grain give a feeling of light and space ,while rugs and throws featuring geometric patterns create symmetry. Furniture is functional and understated with hand-crafted accessories in wood and stone. Enhance the natural light with contemporary floor lamps.
The Scandinavian landscape is intersected by glacial fjords and these majestic seascapes provide plenty of inspiration for interior designers. The Natur range includes two dramatically different fabrics both inspired by the Scandinavian waterways. Create a sense of drama with the fine stripe of Rain or choose Fjord for a subtle wash of colour.
Warm and happy homes
The essence of Scandinavian design is finding joy in simple pleasures. We love the Scandinavian concept of ‘hygge’ the warm feeling you get when you’re enjoying good food in the company of friends in comfortable surroundings. Always keep a cosy blanket or chunky knit to hand, and make sure that your cushions are plumped ready to sink into at a moment’s notice.
