My favourite part of my role is twofold. I really enjoy helping others and in my role there are lots of different ways in which I can do this. Continuous improvement is something that I really enjoy. HR amongst other things is about improvement and how to make things better. This can be from implementing a benefits package, looking at new technology, or making HR process more efficient. I’m always looking at ways of working more efficiently and in this role there is plenty of opportunity to do that, and I find this very rewarding.

There is never a dull day in our HR office. We are quite a big team with a wealth of experience across various sectors and we all have the opportunity to learn from each other.  There is a mixture of Transactional HR, Employee relations and Payroll.  Working in HR can be hard, you are exposed to some very sensitive situations at times; however it can be very rewarding.

The people are nice here. Hillarys offer some great employee benefits in comparison to a lot of other organisations.  Lots of opportunity to develop – the training planner is jam packed with a variety of courses.
