Advisor Job Description

Anyone could be a Hillarys Advisor, all you need is enthusiasm and dedication to giving a high quality customer experience.

Our Advisors need to have a range of skills to perform to the best of their ability. As our Advisors are meeting new customers in their homes every day and doing a variety of tasks including measuring, selling and fitting no two days are ever the same. Key skills therefore should include punctuality, great communication and respect for others and their homes.

Our best Advisors tend to have a good knowledge of DIY, even though we will give full training, the ability to confidently measure, fit and tidy up after yourself is important. Some of our more experienced Advisors will go on to be specially trained to fit blinds in awkward windows such as conservatory roof blinds or specialist products such as Awnings.

Organisation is also important, although our head office will find customers and book them into our Advisors’ diaries around their other commitments they still need to be able to manage these, keep track of their customers orders and payments. However support will be available for the first 3 months while they learn the ropes.

Personal presentation is also important the best advisors always look smart and take pride in their personal appearance.
