A new iPhone application will make it easier for homeowners to match Roman blinds with new furniture.
Homeowners will soon be able to use a new augmented reality iPhone application to match their Roman blinds with new furniture.
The new Furnish Your Photo application, developed by mydeco and Dassault Systemes, enables homeowners to choose between hundreds of 3D representations of furniture, which they can use to plan their room design.
Anyone with an iPhone can use the app to visualise how a piece of furniture will look in a room, to scale.
On its initial release, homeowners will only be able to choose between 500 3D models to compared against their made to measure blinds.
However, mydeco has committed to expanding the range to 75,000 3D models in the future.
Mydeco executive chairman Brent Hoberman said: “By positioning the sofa exactly where you want it, you can get a really good idea of whether it’s going to work in your home before you even shop for it.
“It’s like a virtual fitting room for your living room.”
For those without an iPhone, mydeco also offers a similar 3D room planner on its website, enabling users to decide where their furniture would go in a proposed refurbishment
